Eddie Murphy returns to the movie Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, where he plays the main character, Axel Foley. The film was released through Netflix on July 3rd.
Eddie Murphy’s “Beverly Hills Cop” is a big hit movie with many funny and action scenes. He was one of the biggest superstars of the 1980s.
Eddie Murphy, now 63, doesn’t play a young character in the movie anymore. He says, “I’ve lived a whole other life, and I can show that in my acting. Axel at 22 and Axel at 63? He’s a whole different person.”
In the first few minutes, we can see Axel’s usual characteristics. “You’re the reason I got into police work,” Axel’s colleague tells us. He’s happy to be watching a hockey game with Axel but is surprised when he finds out Axel is there to investigate a possible robbery. He’s pulled into another Beverly Hills Cop mission.
Murphy’s co-stars have been thrilled to work with him and have talked excitedly about his talents. “Watching how he would change things and improvise is a special skill,” said Taylour Paige, who plays Axel’s daughter’s character. “I thought the script was funny, but he made it better.”
This film’s electronic instrumental song is beautiful and highly famous. The actor Eddie Murphy talks about this legendary music. “It’s like having your own James Bond theme. As soon as people hear it, they know what it’s from. They’ll probably play it at my funeral one day.”.
