Tesla’s $5 Billion xAI Investment Gains Support?

Elon Musk has launched a poll to determine whether Tesla should invest $5 billion in xAI. Early votes show support for the proposal.

Elon Musk has launched a poll on social media platform X asking users whether the electric carmaker should invest $5 billion in his artificial intelligence startup, xAI.

Elon Musk is a visionary entrepreneur who transformed the automotive world through his famous company, Tesla Motors. Since 2003 he founded Tesla Motors, Musk has been at the forefront of changing how the world thinks about electric vehicles, making them more mainstream and desirable.

From high-performance electric cars with impressive ranges to advanced self-driving technology, Tesla embodies innovation. What’s more inspiring is Musk’s unwavering commitment to sustainability, making Tesla a pioneer in the green automotive industry.

The poll asked, “Should Tesla invest $5B into @xAI, assuming the valuation is set by several credible outside investors? (Board approval and shareholder vote are needed, so this is just to test the waters).” More than 500,000 users voted 15 hours after the poll was posted, and many people gave different opinions on this investment. Most of the people shared their preferences on investment.

Musk said xAI would be “helpful in advancing full self-driving and in building up the new Tesla data center,” adding that there are opportunities to integrate xAI’s chatbot, Grok, with Tesla’s software.

Elon Musk is one of the world’s wealthiest people. He has mentioned that he plans to buy a quarter of xAI and open a new tab to be owned by investors in X, formerly known as Twitter, which he purchased for $44 billion, although the social media firm’s value has plunged since then.
