Skai Jackson has joined the ranks of former child stars who’ve had run-ins with the law because the Disney Channel alum was recently arrested.
Skai Jackson is best known for playing Zuri Ross in the Disney Channel sitcom Jessie and its spin-off series Bunk’d. Jackson appeared on Time’s list of the “Most Influential Teens” in 2016 and was nominated for Best Influencer at the Shorty Awards 2017.
The actress was arrested last week for domestic violence. We’re told deputies were called to Universal CityWalk after security spotted Jackson and her boyfriend getting into it. And the actress allegedly pushed him more than once.
Twenty-two-year-old young Jackson and her boyfriend both denied anything physical. On the contrary, she has said they were happily engaged and expecting a baby. Deputies say they reviewed video footage and saw she pushed her boyfriend. Jackson was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery, cited, and released after a few hours.
The L.A. County District Attorney’s Office will review the case to determine whether charges are warranted. However, there is not much information about Skai Kackson’s boyfriend.
People have shared different opinions on this. “I am so shocked that she got arrested. That ruined her reputation and public image as this innocent girl. People are going to hate her for this, myself included.” Someone has said. “I used to look up to her, but now she has become a bad influence. This is going to cause a lot of controversy.”
