Samsung Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service by Samsung Electronics that lets users make payments using compatible phones and other Samsung-produced devices. Samsung devices that support Samsung Pay are now given the ability to store the digital version of the COVID – 19 vaccination cards. Some countries have already issued a regulation saying that if the citizens do not have the COVID – 19 vaccination cards with them, they are not permitted to enter public places. So, this is a very timely necessity for people around the world. Samsung has introduced this process by having a partnership with healthcare nonprofit The Common Project. Users are supposed to download the CommonHealth App which is freely available at the Google Play Store. After that, you have to follow the given instructions properly to get the COVID -19 vaccine record from participating pharmacies, health systems, and health providers. When users gain the access to their COVID-19 credentials via the CommonHealth app, users are given the opportunity to add it to their Samsung Pay Wallet. So, when you reach the Samsung Pay app home page, you will see the Covid-19 Vaccine Pass.

However, for locations such as restaurant, offices or any other place where they don’t accept the digital form of you vaccination card, you may have to provide the paper version of your vaccination card. When analyzing the mobile payment market share of Apple and Samsung, Apple dominates. So, the probability of people using Samsung’s digital wallet is comparatively less. This concept of digital vaccine cards is embraced by the world gradually. Last June Google introduced an Android built-in passes system for Android users to store their digital vaccine card on their phone. Some states of America also have introduced this digital vaccine card for their residents. However, no one can deny the fact that digital vaccine cards are much easy to handle than paper form. It also contributes to reducing the spread of the virus as well.

Folks! That’s it for today! Let’s meet soon with another interesting article.
