Kylian Mbappé scored his first goal for Real Madrid as the Spanish side beat Atalanta of Italy’s Serie A 2-0 to win Wednesday’s UEFA Super Cup in Warsaw, Poland.

At PSG, the striker continued to excel and break records. He earned multiple Ligue 1 Player of the Year awards and became the club’s all-time leading goal-scorer, surpassing legends like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani, and Pedro Pauleta.
Within the first 20 minutes of the second half, Real Madrid gained control of the game following a quiet first half in which Vinícius Júnior hit the post. Federico Valverde scored the game’s first goal in the 59th minute, and Mbappé added another nine minutes later.
Inside the Atalanta penalty area, Jude Bellingham found Mbappé moving into space. The French player connected to see the upper right corner for his debut goal.
Mbappé played the full 90 minutes of the team’s sixth UEFA Super Cup victory while donning the No. 9 shirt, which has been worn by Real Madrid greats like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Ronaldo Nazário, and Fernando Morientes in the past.
After playing for Paris Saint-Germain for seven seasons in France, Mbappé signed a contract with Real Madrid in June. He helped PSG advance to the 2019–20 Champions League final and won six Ligue 1 titles and four Coupe de France victories.
